Sea and Water's key objective is to faciliate water-freight transportation in and around the UK. In order to do so, it focuses on six core activities:
Promotion: Functions as a short-sea, coastal and inland waterways promotion centre
Policy:Campaigns for a fertile, comprehensive policy landscape that facilitates waterborne transport
Grants:Offers advice and guidance with regards to Government grants for waterborne transport
Corporate Social Responsibility:Encourages and assists UK businesses with water-freight transport options as a means of achieving their corporate social responsibility goals
Forum Facilitator:Organises quarterly conferences, seminars and meetings on topical issues for the water-freight industry
Parliamentary Relations:Acts as a conduit between the water-freight industry and Government
